I've been shooting photos since I can remember. I remember trying to convince my mother to splurge for the ASA 400 film for the point-and-shoot when I was a kid. Then I began playing with my dad's old 35mm Pentax SLR. And then trying to convince him that all of his photographic prayers would be answered if he just got a polarizing filter. Now I'm a medical student in Nashville, Tennessee, but still just as much a photographer as ever.
I love being able to capture descrete moments in time - moments that no one else would ever see. I love capturing the beauty of the world around us. It's like the opening to American Beauty: "It's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst... And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain."
I started this website in 2007 as a way to share my photographs with the rest of the world; it seems a shame to keep them locked away on my hard drive. I hope you enjoy them.
